chilly
Last night, the temperature dipped down into the 60′s, and it was so delightful to sleep with the windows open instead of the air conditioner for once. It was chilly, even! I love sleeping when it is cooler because it makes the cozy blankets and accumulated warmth all the more inviting. That’s how I feel about these Hand-holders fingerless gloves! Looking at these pictures, I’m just thinking how nice it will be to someday need a jacket and gloves to snuggle up in.

These pictures are several months old; I was hiding them from you while the pattern was pending publication over on Knit Pink. It’s nice to be able to finally air out these older projects: add them to Ravelry, show them in all their glory, add the pattern to my portfolio, etc. Speaking of project photos, I ordered a brooch last night to go with my Alhambra Scarf, so I’m going to wait until it arrives to do the final photoshoot for that project. You’ll just have to wait in suspense to see it… ;-)

This pair of Hand-holders was the original pair I made when I was first working out the design idea. (I ended up changing the sizing around after this set.) The yarn is the inimitable Malabrigo worsted… perfectly soft and warm for a pair of gloves, and always inspiring with its lovely colors and generous yardage. The Hand-holders pattern is my brand new release over on Knit Pink… it’s so gratifying to know that the proceeds from the pattern sales go directly to breast cancer charities.
