I decided that this rainy day would be an appropriate time to share the pictures I took of the Fabulous Filigree scarf the other day, when it was much sunnier. I’m really happy with the way the pattern and the Fleece Artist Somoko turned out after blocking:

Needless to say, I am going ahead with my plan to make a few more of these as gifts to stash away for later occasions. I’ve got one on the needles that I’ll be able to photograph and share soon, plus I ordered yarn for a third one. Can you blame me? It was such a fun, quick knit, plus it’s a great use of multicolored sock yarn.

I’m having so much fun knitting these, that a little incentive idea popped into my head. I noticed that the generous visionaries of swag over at Crochet and Knit Giveaways were a little disappointed at the lukewarm response to the grand opening of the site. Don’t get me wrong!– I’m thrilled at the number of entries in my stitch marker giveaway and at the traffic we’re driving to their site with it. But there’s no harm in sweetening the pot, right? So I’m offering this little incentive deal: If one of my readers hosts a giveaway (of stash yarn, handmade goodies, gift certificate, whatever) and links it up the CnK Giveaways site by their deadline of May 15th for this round, I will host another drawing for the prize of a Fabulous Filigree Scarf knitted in your choice of sock yarns from my stash!

Please leave me a comment letting me know if you’re stepping up to the plate and hosting a giveaway to help everyone earn this awesome prize. And don’t forget to enter the drawing for the stitch markers, if you haven’t already done so!
