Eeep! I probably need to work on that! Because after all, I couldn’t just bump my questionnaire without testing my zombie preparedness, in case the undead have a problem with recycling old posts to enter Secret Pal contests……

1. What is the one knitting accessory you could not live without?
I have a bad habit of getting comfortably established in a chair or bed to do some knitting, and as soon as I’ve got everything all set up and a cat on my lap and everything comfy, I realize that the scissors/crochet hook/pattern/next ball of yarn/beverage is across the room out of arm’s reach. So what I really wish I didn’t have to live without is some kind of necklace system to keep all the stuff attatched to me so I can’t forget!

2. If you’re heading on vacation, do you take knitting with you? If so, how much and what type of project?
Ordinarily I’d take socks or a similarly small project, but actually, an ideal vacation for me would be just lots and lots of free time to get knitting/reading/catching up on chores and creative time done. If I had the time off, I’d love to just stay home and be home! So with that in mind, on my parents’ vacation next week, I’m planning on taking my big project, the dress, to see if I can get as much done as possible before going to back to my workaday schedule.

3. Where have you travelled to that you’d consider your favorite spot?

I am extremely nostalgic for the time I spent living in Oregon, I was always heading out to a variety of heartwrenchingly gorgeous wild spots in the mountains or along the coast in the Pacific Northwest. I’d recommend the region to anybody and look forward to moving back there some day.

4. What is your favorite knitting book at the moment? Do you own it?
I’m a big fan of the Tracy Ullman/Mel Clarke book Knit 2 Together, which I got for my birthday last year, and that’s the 1 book that I’ve knit the most projects out of… second place for projects knit would be Naughty Knits. One book that I’ve long lusted after but inexplicably don’t own is Twinkle’s Big City Knits.

5. Do you listen to podcasts? Which is your favorite(s)?

I don’t have any regular podcasts but Rob and I love watching the Angry Video Game Nerd. That guy makes me laugh until I’m crying.

6. If you could only knit with 1 color for the rest of your life, what color would that be?
Since that is such an unfair question I’m going to go with a trick answer: I’d knit in natural or white and then dye the project the way I’d want it! :-P

7. If you were far into a project and then noticed a mistake near the beginning what would you do?
Leave the mistake! Life is too short to worry about a mistake only I’d ever notice.

8. Where is the most unsual spot you’ve ever knit?
I can’t think of anywhere unusual! Just the usual suspects… on break at work, on public transportation or airports, a variety of spots around the house… nothing too fascinating there.
