happy knitting
I’m on a little bit of a roll with sock knitting. Making socks is like that for me– I go through phases where I can’t put them down, and then other times I’m completely uninterested in them. Everybody likes a good sock knitting binge though, right? Here’s where I’m at:

I finally finished these man-sized socks. According to my Ravelry entry, I started these back on January 17th, so you can really see what I mean about going through “off” socks periods! In March, I blogged that I wasn’t even going to try to finish the second sock of the pair, so maybe I should be pleased to be writing about an actual finished pair. In any case, they are handsome socks in the ONline wool/silk blend, and are ready in time for the holidays.

Finishing the green sock left me in definite Sock Mode, so I almost immediately cast on a new Jaywalker sock in the Shibui Sock color “Rappongi.” It’s so bright and happy, right? It’s really fun to knit with such an audacious colorway, maybe because of the dark green that preceded it. I love making Jaywalkers… this will be my fourth pair! I can virtually knit the sock without looking, and the pattern makes the progress come very fast, so it’s an ideal project for me when I’m “in the zone.”

At this rate, I imagine I’ll have a lot more sock(s) to show you very soon! Happy knitting..

Congrats on finishing the pair of socks. The new pair look great, love how the colors look in the Jaywalker pattern.
Congrats on finishing the green socks. They’re gorgeous!
Great socks!
Lovely socks, particulary the man ones. Its nice to see beautifully knitted simple socks.
