Welcome to week one of my “sock kit” themed Fiber Fridays. I have a couple of these in my stash from various sources, and I figured I had better show them off as yarn pr0n before it’s too late and they’re already projects in progress! I’ve been enthusiastic in my sock knitting recently (if you hadn’t noticed..) so you’ll be seeing these yarns again, in knitted form, soon enough.

I’ve been subscribed to the Knit Purl Sock Club, the shipments of which are all themed around the city of Portland, OR. May’s kit honors the microbreweries that Portland is famous for! I love the different amber shades of the “Microbrew” sock yarn, and I was also really excited to get an exclusive Cookie A. pattern inspired by the hops flowers!

I really love yellow these days, especially if it’s bright or orangey. I also really love colorways like this that are multicolored but tonally coordinated… they’re so versatile since they’re the best of both worlds (solid yet multi)! So, I’m sure you can understand that I was really happy with this installment of the sock club. I was eager to cast on, and I have done so, so I’ll have sock in progress to show you soon!
