To use up the rest of the Main Line yarn, I knit another of Smariek‘s cloth patterns, in this low-maintenance embossed twin-leaf lace pattern. I really like embossed leaves for knitting patterns! I’m thinking of doing the socks from knitty, and designing some worsted leaf-theme socks out of some very camouflagey Malabrigo that I’ve got stashed. Not to be deterred by fears of embossed-leaf overkill, I adapted Smariek’s pattern to a bigger cloth with staggered leaves.

The larger one, in 100% cotton, is a gift for my sheep-free secret pal, if I ever get a downstream who responds.. In the meantime I get to enjoy the seasonally-appropriate fiber, color, and lace theme of the leafy cloths. Speaking of lace, I just got this book from the library today, leaving me with lots of lacey plans, if I can make a reasonable-enough dent in the UFO-pile.
