local goodies

Today’s yarn is another from the batch of local goodies I picked up when I visited Connecticut for the holidays. I *love* this Tidal Yarn, it’s handpsun and small-batch dyed with natural dyes. It’s on the heavy side of a DK weight, and puuuurty.

I have 700 yards of this stuff, and a plan. I have a few skeins of something else in my stash that I’m going to combine it with to make a stripey cardigan! I have no idea when I will get to knitting that (I’ve got many projects ready to take priority!), but it was one of those moments where the yarn instantly told me what it wanted to be. So it’s not really “marinating” in my stash for ideas, it’s just waiting for the right time to become a great sweater!

Umm, maybe in the fall? Yipes, that’s a long way in advance to be scheduling knitting projects!
