new shoes, new socks?

So, I just got these new shoes, because I needed new comfy shoes for all the standing around at work. I’m not ashamed to admit that I am picky about having coordinating shoe/sock combos, provided I’m not wearing long pants, in which case I’d be focused on shoe/pant combos. I have only a few pairs of black socks, having previously been devoted to brown shoes….
